Whilst channel surfing I happened upon a circus performer who was hapily demonstrating her uniquely modified appendage. As she tells it, the toungue is made of two separate muscles, and when the tissue between them is split those muscles are easily trained to move independently. It's... interesting to see in action. And just as interesting to draw!
